Zahia Izzah–Sassy Egyptian Belly Dance

Zahia Izzah has been pursuing her love of mainstream Middle Eastern dance since her first class in 1999. Since then she’s studied with local, national and international teachers. She performs around the Pacific Northwest and  is known for her entertaining and sassy Egyptian style.  She spent time studying and performing with the Shami Mir Dance Ensemble and An Nour Dance Ensemble before branching out on her own to teach.
Zahia offers a variety of different class levels, so check back often to see what’s on the schedule!  She also works with her own small performance troupe called Wild Lotus Bellydance.  They can be seen often, dancing at MEDGE events.
Tuesday: Performance Choreography-by teacher approval only-ongoing monthly from 6:45-7:45pm $10 per week payable at the first of each month.

Thursday: Level One beginning Egyptian Belly Dance   6:45-7:45pm
Learn all those fun, classic belly dance moves in a safe (slightly sassy) environment.  Belly dance is an awesome way to build strength, flexibility and body confidence.
We’ll learn the basic isolations as well as those snaky arms and the SHIMMY! Good for any body type, fitness level or age.  No previous dance experience necessary.
Wear clothing that is easy to move in and bring a water bottle. I dance barefoot but dance socks or sandals are also ok.  No street shoes.
Please contact the instructor directly to register for classes.  Schedule is subject to change and class size is limited for a more personalized experience.
